First Post of Many

It's currently 03:43 local time. I should be sleeping as should hubby but instead I am sitting up making this blog and thinking about playing some more WoW. Sad huh? It's not my fault I'm hopelessly addicted to Warcrack. It's my stress reliever.

I should explain a little about why I am making this blog. Well, my friend Shannon, an Air Force wife as well, has a blog and she suggested, many many months ago that I should also make a blog. Well, Shannon, now I have a blog. You have convinced me through your awesomeness that is blogging to join the blogosphere or whatever it is you bloggy bloggers call it.

After saying that, I should warn that I am very bad at making posts on anything. And, therefor, I cannot promise how well this is going to go. What can you expect from this blog? Just updates about what is going on in my life and in the life of my husband. Maybe some musings here and there and, sadly, probably tons of pictures of our cats. Yes, I know, it's sad but true...

A little bit more about us you ask?

Well, hubby (hence forth known as K), joined the Air Force in December 08, 4 months after we got married and left for his basic training and technical training. That lasted a good 8 months, almost 9 months, and then we were off to our first station: Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico! It was a very big change for both of us. Neither one of us had been so far away from our family before but I am happy to report that we are both very happy here in New Mexico. It's warmer than Michigan, so we can't complain!

I suppose much of this blog will also focus around the fact that I am a military wife. And I must report, as well, that I am enjoying my role. It gets a bit boring from time to time, what with my not being employed currently, but I do find that it gives me time to pursue some of my more important interests (writing and gaming).

I hope that this blog will be insightful to some as I will probably discuss the trials and tribulations of being a military wife, as well as some general life lessons and intriguing stories or banter. But for now, I think I will end it here.

Happy Veteran's Day to everyone, especially those who have served or are serving our country as we speak. We appreciate every one of you and honor the sacrifices you have or are making!
